Power Rangers

The White Ranger is a fictional character appearing in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show. He is best known as Tommy Oliver's second ranger form, following his stint as the Green Ranger.

Tommy Oliver, initially the Green Ranger, was freed from Rita Repulsa's evil spell. His powers were temporary, and eventually faded. Later, when the original Rangers faced an unbeatable foe, Lord Zedd, the White Ranger debuted, instantly proving to be a powerful force for good.

The White Ranger's first appearance was in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episode "White Light, Parts - ". The White Ranger armor and powers are derived from a different source than the original five rangers, being tied to a powerful good entity. In Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, the Super Sentai counterpart to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the White Ranger is known as KibaRanger, whose civilian name is Kou.
